The swamp biome boss is impossible to solo on the stormy waters difficulty.
The fights starts with the boss doing his combos of 4-5 attacks, parrying everything perfectly still damages the player. This is still fine.
After breaking the bosses riposte for 2-3 times, it enters the enrage, and every attack is a onehit kill. Tested with 1000, 1500 and 1800 health.
Parrying any attack kills the player. The only possible tactic is to either apply bleeding or shooting the boss once and then run away in circles for a prolongued amount of time.
I gave up after 20 minutes of running around in a circle not being able to find any window to attack with a greatsword because every attack it does kills no matter how many health I have. If there is any mechanic that ends its enrage, it is either bugged, or absolutely not clear to the player.
Please fix or rework the boss so it is doable solo with melee weapons that is not "Rapier of a thousand cuts" that needs another nerf. But that is a topic for another suggestion.

Thanks for the report! You can lower your world difficulty at any point by going to main menu and "Editing" your world before launching it.

Not all content requires completion with one set of skills and the player should adapt to the challange of playing on the hardest difficult. Not for a game change to meet a small challange.

It is indeed possible, I have done it with the plague rapier/plague pistol. But two handed weapons I would find hard as you mentioned.

the main issue i have is that parrying as the mechanic that you use throughout the game and is vital is completely unuseable here

We'll look into rebalancing bosses in the future, but for now the boss seems working as intended.

ok. i do hate it. and in my opinion it makes no sense. but if that is the mechanic, i have to figure out a way how to beat it without parrying at all then.
