#Guns sharing reloads.

that happens with potions too. pretty lame
considering most pirates carried multiple firearms this design decision is odd
potions I can understand stacking could get pretty overpowered but it is odd you can't use more than 1 weapon
Thanks for the report. Its intended for now.
No offense. But that just dosnt make since for it to be that way. Pirates were known for carrying multiple pistols so they didnt have to reload mid fight. Even black beard was known to carry as many as 6 guns and 2 swords into fights.
Gun damage would need a huge nerf if we were able to load up 8 guns and shot all with no reload.
Let this change be in the form of a player mod not a dev concern.
that's stupid. if I'm running a pistol, rifle and blunderbuss. they should not share a reload. but if I'm running 3 of the same gun. absolutely they should share a reload. it just makes no sense at all to share a reload on 3 different guns.
For balance of the game it sure does makes sense.
nah. because the game started without shared reload
Buddy, I'm going to respond to you in the most respectful way that I can and from a knowledgeable standpoint as well.
Retired Game Designer - Cubert's response makes total sense. Intended, for now.
Your response: makes zero sense.
Here let me break this down for you:
This is a PVE PLAYER VERSUS ENVIRONMENT game.
Why does this matter? Well, here's why, see, in PVE, you don't really have to worry about "balancing" near as much as you do in a PVP or Live Service title. Windrose, at least for now, is neither of those games. As such giving the players AGENCY to play HOW they want is actually far more important than whether or not running around like a 2 legged powder magazine is something for the developers to worry about.
Furthermore, what Dread said concerning historical facts, in particular referring to Black Beard who was a real person and is featured in this game also bears weight. If real world, historical figures are included then one can also safely assume that they and us being pirates ourselves would do much the same.
There are actual accounts of pirates that went on board ships with 2 muskets on their back, 4 pistols, a sword and dagger and a freakin blunderbuss. Do you HONESTLY think that those guys, would shoot one gun, then pick up the next on their belt and look at their enemy and politely ask "oi mate, mind waiting a moment there? Seems me pistol needs reloading right quick as it's ammo and powder are shared with me blunderbuss?" Of course not.
Retired game designer take: Let players play how they want. let 'em have the power fantasy. As long as it's PVE it really doesn't matter until a guild/clan system is implemented.
ElementZero is right. It's pve,let us have fun. For reference, I turned all the sliders down to zero and run around 1 hitting everything with a crusher. Cause that's fun for me. Giving us the option to turn a feature like this on or off is the ultimate answer.
yea that pretty silly to me that its intended, i wanna shoot with my musket and then board a ship sword and pistol in hand but i have to reload one bc i fired the other barely makes me wanna use any gun
maybe the ability to turn off automatic reload in favor of this might work idk
If we are talking about real life then you can't reload your pistol nor musket while fighting someone with a sword, but that happens in the game, and that's the point. It's a game, not real life.
Personally, I would like a toggle in the settings for individual or combined loading of firearms, but it doesn't bother me to the point of it affecting my enjoyment of the game.
