"The UE-R5 Game has crashed and will close. Fatal Error!"

I get this error everytime I try to play this game. Sometimes it is after a few minutes, sometimes it is right away. I'm running on an AMD Radeon RX7800 XT AMD Ryzer 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor. I've tried several driver versions, lowering max fps settings, updating shadowing, but nothing seems to work.

It's a bummer because I was so excited about this game and convinced my buddies to start playing... Now they're sailing and looting without me pepecry

Exact same issue here, with Radeon 7600. Any updates on causes or fixes would be great.

Running Ryzen 5 5600, AMD Radeon RX 7600, 32gigs or DDR4 RAM. The game plays smoothly on high settings, no lag or performance drops or whatever, but I also experience AMD driver crash with fatal error.
I haven't got far, but in my case it happens almost entirely whenever I die. The moment my character dies the game freezes and driver craps the bed. Also had it happen few times without death when I pulled a gun on one of the drowners or ran from some enemy.
I downgraded my adrenaline driver to 26.1.1 as it was advised, but still experience this problem. Exactly same as it was on the 26.3.1.
Also tried to lowering my settings all the way down, especially the post-processing one, but to no avail, these crashes still continue.
I don't believe it is lack of the PC's resources, since it runs as smooth as a dream otherwise, just some sort of AMD incompatibility.

I had somewhat similar problem like that with indie game called Voin, in their case they told me to run the game with -dx12 argument. I think I'll try it here too, will report here if it works out.

Well, so far sailing is smooth. Running 26.1.1 drivers + added -dx12 argument, already died couple of times and there wasn't any driver crash.

Yeah. Did a bunch of stuff that would've resulted in crash already in my previous attempts, but so far so good. Maybe worth trying this, if you haven't yet. Worked for me.

Update, spoke too soon. Eventually had the death-crash from being killed by armored drowner. But it certainly worked more stable that it usually did.
