Hello, I was able to play previously but then I rented a server from Gportal. Was able to migrate my save game into Gportal just fine.
Then I noticed I could turn on
WindrosePlus and UE4SS so I turned those on and messed with them for a bit just to see what that was all about. I kept getting PAK errors so I took it off. Deleted PAK out of Gportal, and my PC.
Now I cannot load into any single player game, new or not
Cannot load into any hosted game
Cannot load into server, even my own that other people are currently on
Things I've tried:
-Fully uninstalled and reinstalled the game
-Deleted leftover install folder in:
steamapps/common/Windrose
-Verified game files through Steam
-Tried launching with/without Steam Cloud (used local files)
Saves / World Data
-Removed local save data
-Deleted server SaveProfiles completely
-Tried restoring backups (Default folder swaps)
-Tested with completely fresh server world
Server Side (GPortal)
-Restarted server multiple times
-Reinstalled server
-Deleted all savegames via panel
-Confirmed server can run but:
-sometimes shows latency failed
-sometimes results in infinite loading for players
Runtime / Dependencies
=Installed Visual C++ Redistributables (x86 + x64)
-Verified DirectX components
-Restarted system
Client Behavior
Crashes even on brand new singleplayer world
Happens before logs/config folders are created
No meaningful Event Viewer crash info (custom R5 error)
