I have a dedicated Server through nitrado. My buddies that have joined the server had no issues. The next time they login all the quest icons are gone and they don’t know where to go now.

I have restarted many of times. And it’s happened to me once. But all my quest icons are still visible. Has anyone seen this?

There is a setting in the game files that lets you change this to make the game harder.

#

believe it is: "{"TagName": "WDS.Parameter.EasyExplore"}": false

#

You want this set to false if you want icons to show.

Hmmmm

#

should be fine then? Was it ever changed? Not sure if that is a setting that can be toggled on and off, or if its set once.

#

I guess side question, do your friends have quests actually?

vague jetty
#

No. Still nothing. Sorry HDR

dense plover
#

Like if they join their own game do they have quests?

#

also dumb question I know but if you click on the quest.... are you tracking it 😄

vague jetty
#

Yeah, the furthest guy has 1 quest and the newest member has all of them to do still and cant see anything

dense plover
#

I can make a level 1 character and try joining if you want to dm me info?

#

Can then at the very least see if its a problem with anyone who joins, or maybe just certain people

vague jetty
#

Oh maybe.

vague jetty
#

Let me see . I even created a new character and nothing

#

It seems to be only the first person who joins get the quests

dense plover
#

Haha thats strange

#

I noticed you have no world name in your CFG

#

my preset is also: "WorldPresetType": "Custom",

#

and I see yours is medium

#

yeah I swapped settings around the only difference I have in my file is the worldname

Thanks for the report. World settings don't affect quest markers, that option affects PoI "?" markers.
Have you or your friends used ANY mods at any point? Even just the mod managing app?

vague jetty
#

@next sedge No mods at all

We are also having the same issue on a hosted server. No player or Quest Icons, only started happening yesterday.

I'm running into the same issue pretty steadily. Quest markers, (some) discovered map markers, personal player indicator, etc. All of them just vanish after a while. It seems to happen after extensive building, in my case at least.

Also it seems to work for the first person who joins the server. Everyone after that doesnt get icons @next sedge
