as the title says i figured out that if you stand on a ship as it sinks you become momentarily trapped and will sink under the ocean with it although standing as i am in the picture seems to keep you from drowning till the game despawns the ship and it teleports you to sea level

I have had this happen as well, if you get stuck on the seabed, you can summon your boat (the smallest one) since it spawns on you, you can get in it and return to the surface
