If you have a potion on your hotbar, and try to enter a crafting amount into a bench. For example, the charcoal kiln. It will use the potion if you type the same number assigned to its slot. For instance. I have my health potions set to 5 on my hotbar. Using the charcoal kiln and typing "50" to instantly select 50 to begin crafting, has now used my health potion while in the crafting screen.
