Just had a Fatal Error that may have wiped DX12

First time I've dealt with something like this in 15 years. Was out in the Swamp Biome when I had a hard crash. Just a Fatal Error message.

Tried to load up Steam and got no DX12 found. All of my AMD Drivers are gone upon reboot. No Dual Monitor. Can't even load AMD Software Adrenaline Edition to reload the driver. Saying not compatible with my currently installed AMD graphics card. Probably set back to onboard graphics.

Wierd one that will take some time to sort out.

System:

MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk

BIOS E7D75AMS.1K2 09/20/2024 Date

Radeon RX 7900 XTX

AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D CPU

Windows 11 64 bit

Had to reinstall fresh AMD Drivers. Everything was wiped out from this Fatal Error. Very strange.

I heard of this before in Enshrouded, so I had to look it up.
A fatal error crash that "wipes" drivers typically means the GPU driver failed, causing Windows to disable it or revert to a generic driver, breaking DX12 functionalities.
Fix this immediately by using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode to wipe remnants, followed by a clean install of the latest GPU drivers from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel.
Immediate Action Plan:
Clean Install Drivers: Download and run DDU to completely remove existing drivers, then reinstall the latest drivers from your GPU manufacturer's website.
Reinstall DirectX 12: Run the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Microsoft to repair missing components.
Verify Game Files: Use Steam, Epic, or your launcher to "Verify Integrity" of the game files, as a crash can corrupt game data.
Force DX11 (Temporary Fix): If the crash keeps happening, try adding -DX11 or -d3d11 to the game's launch options in the launcher to bypass DX12 issues.
