I tried deleting character save a profile save disconnecting from steam cloud sync and pretty much everything else this picture is what ive been looking at for the last 1.5 days trying to get assistance

Been days now with no fix to these issues. Getting tired of waiting and having corrupt save files and being unable to play the game I paid 2 accounts for

Have you tried in through steam veryifying the game files it helped someone the other day with corrupted files

Sometimes its the R5 folder (which uninstalling games through steam dosnt delete) so deleting that but since you tried that if you havnt tryed veryifying integrity of game files through steam

Has anyone found an actual fix yet? Tried everything and cannot play, was fine yesterday going between pc and ally woke up this morning and simply wont load into the main menu. Have re installed, turned off cloud saves. Still nothing.

It seems that so far we only have to wait for the devs to speak out, although it does not seem that they are used to doing so

Understandable. Small indy dev, all probably new to the team, im sure they will get over these issues soon, may be an idea for them to hire a support liaison or something for the short term while they fix their teething issues

this has happened to me since launch 💔 send help lol. Normally id of refunded it but i played the demo and was hooked (yes have deleted all files because demo can mess it up)

What a shame that is, I thought it was a recent mistake, I don't know, it seems a little exaggerated to me that it's taking so long, it's a team of 60 people, it's not as small as most people think.

Uninstalling game dosnt delete local save things have you tried going into steam and verifying game files? Someone was having this issue yestarday and it worked for them

If uninstalling steam games deleted all files youd need to restart a game each time you uninstalled a game and re installed it at a later date

If a file in steam files gets corrupted it just dosnt boot which was why deleting the r5 folder but some data within steam itself saves elsewhere

And with the amount of game corruption issues and different networking problems esspeculy for this kind of game 60 people is a small team

Could try deleteing local data r5 folder,verify steam apps are the 2 ways that have worked with a chunk of people

i think everyone did that. r5 gone, verified, reinstalled the game. all that stuff. some of us its not working for

60 devs isn’t a small team. Helldivers 2 had around 100 and way more load, still had issues, and yet they patched things quickly. It’s not just about how many people you have, but how the team is organized, and at this point I’m starting to question Windrose team organization a bit. At the very least, another statement would be nice, it's already been a week since their last update.

Hey, I just fixed it for myself.

Step 1: Deactivate cloud saves in Steam, then reactivate them.

Step 2: Verify the game files for errors.

Step 3: Start the game and load the world in single-player mode first. The world should then open. Quit normally. Then host it again.

Hope it works for you too.

im not the OP. But i do know how to force my PC to get stuck in loading screen consistently. All i have to do is alt+tab while loading screen appears.

So maybe this could hint how the bug happens?

obviously my game never gets stuck in loading screen, only when i decide to alt+tab during loading.

This happened to me a couple days ago!!
MY SOLUTION: Turn back on cloud save and try again.
I got really stoned one night and tried it, and it worked

my friend that was stuck in the loading screen (before the character screen showed up) also played on another pc.
He loaded up the second pc he played it on and synced with the cloud, it told him there was a sync error and he had to choose what date to load from. then did the same to the first pc he played on.

Did not see all the steps but that was basicly it. we got our save file back
