either you use an xbox controller or a playstation one, moving with the D-pad is mostly the preferred way to navigate menus, the infamous virtual cursor that was pioneered by destiny 2 was greatly disliked by a majority of gamepad users
even more so as each subsequently iteration seems to make ever so slightly worse, from my quick test, it was mostly ignore-able, but it personally caused a instinctual disdain for the menu
even if the devs were to completely rework the menus or the controls, I believe the silent majority was agree that highlighting items with the d-pad is preferable instead of hovering with a fake cursor

Yeah, for me specifically the d-pad controls being stacking (without requiring any modifier button to be held down) verges on unplayable when years of muscle memory say the d-pad will help me navigate around the inventory
