Revenge Best Served Cold quest - black mark bug

When completing this quest, 2 of the 4 black marks apparently fell under the chest instead of going into my quest when looting. If it helps, I believe I had a full inventory when it happened, even though the black marks don't go to your inventory- I think there is some accidental inventory lookup going on for the black marks. I can physically see the shining underneath of 2 of the chests, with 2 on my character. So I know they are there, but I can't get to them because the chest is in the way.

I ended up leaving the game, coming back to the spot, and the chests were sealed again. I still randomly had 2 keys and opened them, and they were empty.

I left again and came back, now I have no keys and those two are locked again. Picture is what they look like (the shimering as if there is something underneath it)

Thanks for the report. Remove the mods, wait for enemies to respawn and try again. If it doesn't help - your save is corrupted.

And even if it does help for now there is no guarantee it won't break later, sorry. Modding right now is VERY risky.

Quest items go to the curios tab 😄 It's ok, lots of people make that mistake, me included. And in some cases you have to visit multiple locations, if you visit all of the POIs, you should generally complete everything.

well, my issue is you dont get all 4 in one place. Too new to the game to realize the map showed me the second place but I didnt see it

I blame confirmation bias as someone on reddit had the same issue

Most of the game generally is goto A get B, but a few of them are split and you have to hit multiple locations (sometimes on different islands)

The digging in the ground is usually what gets people the most to find the POI chests/skeleton.

You should try playing the game without markers 😄 Difficulty setting.
