joining game and the loading keeps hanging and then booting me to main menu, restarted game and PC still cannot connect

kept trying and then boots me back to steam
restarted host PC and still not able to connect

Thanks for the report! Seems to be connectivity issue. Please check options from our FAQ - https://playwindrose.com/faq/
If you've tried Firewall/Antivirus disable/IPv6/DNS/port forwarding and nothing helps - try using cloudflare warp https://one.one.one.one/, a lot of players reported it helped them, so you may try that out.
Some ISP like Bezeq International Ltd, Ziggo, telnet, Xfinity, Spectrum, are blocking our servers, so disabling advanced security features provided by them might be good idea as well

If it still doesn't help, you can try Direct IP option in the menu. But it might require further setup, depending on your home network (NAT/port forwarding).

I have tried the firewall setting, the ipv4 change and the network public and private settings and I’m still not able to join.

It’s still just going to the loading screen and not connecting to the game, I’ve rolled back an old save and direct IP has no effect
