So, we have a server and we're having this issue. Three of us have not hit level 4 yet, but one of us has and it's somehow stuck on all of us at max level, but won't allow us to purchase things from the vendors beause.. we aren't high enough reputation..?
Shared progression is turned off on the server as well, so I'm confused as to what is happening.

Thanks for the report! Currently reputation is world-based and is the same for all players at all times. We'll look into it.

The screenshot you show has you at "0" currency, i.e. Piasters / gold coins.

Could you share a screenshot/video of the person with the currency in their inventory ?

Yes, I can have them show a screenshot of the currency in their inventory.

But that isn't the only issue experienced.

In the video - I turned in the insignias to the bounty collector and my reputation level didn't move a single inch. Mind you: i wasn't reputation 4 before this happened, is was halfway through reputation 3. Not only that, but turning insignias in should have increased the level bar surrounding up around the reputation level. It didn't move at all.

As explained by the dev, the reputation gain is per world, i.e. global for all connected, past and future, players (something I didn't know myself 👀)
Level 4 is the maximum, so it's not going to move.

But that makes no sense. One of the others in our party was reputation 3 before I was. Unless I am misunderstanding.

And not only that, if what I am assuming is how it works - wouldn't that then lead the rest of us to the unlockable stuff as well with the currency? Meaning only one of us has to be rep 4, and then everyone can purchase it all?

While my reputation level says 4, when I go to purchase the Brig, it is telling me that I have to be reputation 2 before purchasing. Hence why I went to turn in insignias.

Unless I am completely misunderstanding how the process works. I am big confusion. 🤣

She had the 1000 in her inventory (I'll get her to post a photo/video later when she is home) and it's still saying that she has to be reputation 2 to purchase. Though.. it says max rep has been reached for the both of us.

So yeah.. it makes absolutely no sense as to why it would be per-world and not per-player.

Seeing as it's.. not working for every player.

Before we assume its not working we need to see someone with currency attempt to make the purchase. As said reputation is server wide and anyone can level up the reputation for the server. if one player is seeing an issue i would have then reconnect to the server or restart the server.

Currently all you have shown is you are unable to buy items with on currency which is as intended

rep is max so you can not turn in any more items. This is intended.

I am aware of how it's intended. And a video will be coming soon of the purchaser attempting to purchase something with this intended max level and it still not working.

I apologize. I’m at work so responses will be sporadic.

I have a gameplay session recorded from when this took place, but I will try to explain as much as I can until I can get the video uploaded.

So, I had tried to build the Brig. I took insignias (not sure of what amount I had to turn in or of which type) to increase my reputation level in order to purchase the blueprint, since it required Reputation 2 to purchase. I had never turned in any insignias up until this point.

Tithe explained to me that once I turned in the insignias, my reputation level would increase and I would receive currency to purchase the blueprint for the Brig.

Once I went to the NPC, my reputation level was already at 4, but I could not purchase the blueprint as I did not meet the requirements of reputation 2, according to the NPC.

So, I turned in the insignias. They were removed from my inventory, but I did not receive XP gain upon turning them in. I had the currency, but still couldn’t purchase the blueprint due to not being Reputation 2.

On the other hand, I am unaware of any other way to unlock the blueprint for the Brig. I do not know if there is a side quest or a different action that needs to be done since the world’s reputation level is already at 4. If I am missing something, please explain so I can follow accordingly. 🫶🏻

Please, whoever has the issue - make a short video of you having piastres on you and being unable to buy the ship schematic. Or at least post screenshots of your opened inventory screen with currency inside and then the trader screen.

Okay, so the video I thought I had recorded did, in fact, not record.

However, the error was that it was giving me was stating that I had to be Reputation 2 according to the NPC, but was max level reputation and had 2k in currency.

Now, all is well and I am able to purchase the Brig. I guess the server reset and cleaned any bugs.
