#CPU usage is way too high

Game just constantly eats away on CPUs, my idle in most games is around 30-40%, this game easily spikes into the 90s causing throttling and crashes when in combat. Needs some more optimization, maybe offload some things to be more GPU intensive.
Game looks too good to have to run low settings to prevent crashing

You might want to do a bit more research and trouble shooting on your computer, its not doing that to mine, not even remotely nor anyone im playing with.

An easy wa to reduce help on both CPU and GPU is to try to set max FPS to 40 and enable x2 framegen

The game fried my i9 -13900KF just trying to launch. I built my PC late 2023, had no issues with any other games up until I launched windrose a few days ago. I chalked it up to it being my first PC build, maybe I messed up and it finally caught up to me.

I took it in, had the professionals do a once over. It was a fried cpu. They installed a new i9 - 14900KF. $900 bill.

Just launched windrose... 100% CPU usage just launching the game, high temps on a brand new cpu.
It seems to have stabilized now but the initial launch after first installing is definitely what costed me my first cpu no doubt. Poorly optimized.

I have a i7-12700KF. 12th and 13th gen CPUs have often problems with U5. There is a riskless solution ( #1495429251871014923 message ). In every U5 game i got over 90C, often up to 95C. Since I made it this way, every U5 game runs perfectly. (F.e. from 90c+ down to 60C-65C). Maybe it helps you too
