Not sure if a bug, or oversight, or me doing something wrong. I completed the mini quest to get the pet boar before knowing what it was. Inventory was full. I picked up what I could and left. Later after learning what it was, I went back. All the stuff I left on the ground from the wolves/deer was there, but no whistle. I looked all around the statue. I also double-checked my storage containers. No whistle. Did the game bug? Shouldn't it be on the ground at least, or if inventory is full at the time does it just disappear? Or maybe bug caused it not to drop? Not sure, running out of ideas.

Thanks for the report! We'll look into it.
Sometimes items fly rather far away, when they are dropped from the inventory, you might want to look around on the ground near the statue.
If you've already restarted the world once after that, the whistle got auto destroyed. If you really want it, you can make a new character, join your current world and use equipment and fast travel you already have to quickly finish the event again. Sorry for inconvenience.

Thank you, I looked around the statue in what I'd figure a "4 foot" radius and otherwise randomly around the area but never found it. I'll look again. I did not restart the character or the world. If I cannot find it, I'll consider it a loss. It might be worth giving the statue a dialogue "I lost my whistle" and it'd give another one. Thank you for your reply.

Just wanted to clarify so there is no misunderstanding. I did not drop the whistle. It never appeared in my inventory, and now going back it does not seem to be there. Just wanted to make sure that is clear.
