Co-op Host kicked out to main menu

Hey folks, as the title suggests I'm trying to host a co-op world with my partner, and I get kicked out to the lobby the moment she tries to join in, and the same happens to her if she tries to host.

We tried to do this through the friend code and through IP connect and the issue remains the same.

For reference I am using https://one.one.one.one/ as without it I wasn't able to connect to the connection services (they were all N/A).
I did notice however that using this significantly reduced my internet speed (from around 950 mb/s to around 150 mb/s), so I'm open to hearnig if there is an alternative to this that doesn't throttle my internet speed to crawling speeds.
