Hello all! I've been playing since the morning of the 20th. Actually stayed up until 5Am yesterday and worked 10hrs afterwards...
Im sitting down to saila gain and my game keeps freezing on the loading screen.
Notes: Solo game, only character.
I've updated my Nvidia graphics card driver to latest.
I've turned off Cloud Save.
I've tried to force run in Direct x12
I can create a new world, with the same character.
I consistently get 10-15 seconds of loading.. then frozen.
"Applicationhang Detected" error in the background of the game. I've had zero issues with the game. I absolutely love it, and am totally addicted. I'd hate to have to redo the 25hours in two days that I've put into it... I was at work and planning my next Windrose steps in my head...
Please help.

Also, this happened out of nowhere. I had zero issues playing the last two days since initial install and launch.
Very Random. I hope I can somehow get my world back
Thanks for the report. Try restoring your save from your automatic backups. You can find XXXXXX_backups folder here.
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
I've tried this. I copied and pasted that into my files and nothing comes up.
Ive gone through the entire process laid out and I dont see a saved profile folder.
im not great at searchng for files in the first place. Maybe im missing it. But i don't see anything popping up.
In r5 folder theres only binaries, content, plugins. No saved profile folder
on your PC it will be
C:\Users\ NAME OF YOUR WINDOWS USER \AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
OH!! I just tried logging in and I got into my original world!
What could have caused me not being able to get passed a loading screen for 4 hours last night, and now I can load instantly?
Here's the full instruction:
HOW TO RESTORE BACKUP
Go to:
• C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles%your_Steam_ID%_Backups
• Select the latest backup (or any preferred one). Backups are named by date and time.
• Copy all contents from this folder (it should contain one folder + AccountDescription.json).
• Navigate to:
C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles{your_Steam_ID}\RocksDB
• Paste the copied files there (replace existing files if prompted).
Maybe your steam cloud updated the save correctly
but we suggest turning off steam cloud for Windrose (you can do it on Windrose library page in your Steam)
