If you have an item selected in build mode it will automatically build if its highlighted green. If you have enough resources it will build multiple instances on top of each other in the same place. It has placed 3 tents in one place inside of the crafting table without me hitting a button.

After testing on the suggestion of someone below i tried switching my mouse, and the bug no longer occurs. i am not sure what is happening and causing the issue as i have never had this in any other game.

Playing Solo/Offline on PC. No Mods.

Thanks for the report. Does this happen consistently? With any other buildings?

yes, i have had it happen with just about everything in the build menu. from the chests, tents craft tables, to the prefab buildings.

Hello try unplug your current mouse and use a different mouse to make clear a mouse switch failure. Im typing it cause the same thing happened to a friend and the cuprit was his gaming mouse.

Yeah, it seems like an input glitch, Some gaming mouses have special mode for shooter games, where the mouse emulates multiple fast clicks when you hold the button

doesnt seem to be that, i can hit B to enter build mode and it will just start placing without me ever touching the mouse

#

but i dont have a spare mouse atm but i can try to unplug and replug

even after restarting, replugging in my mouse etc. still doing the same issue.

#

this is making building almost impossible >.<

Well my friend figured that mechanical switch on his mouse was worn out so i advise either buy new one of the same model you like cause the switch from old one is probably at its lifespan

i just dont see how thats the solution. as the only time this has ever happened is with this game. i get no phantom clicks at any other time in any other game. and no input detector can see anything from the mouse

And do you use some driver for the mouse? Since it can sometimes colide for example settings in widows and mouse settings in the driver cause when you switched that problem was gone so its deffinitely either hardware or software issue at the mouse part

the only thing i have installed is the logitech software for my mouse and keyboard. i did make sure it was up to date so if that updated the driver idk

And before the instalation or updating it worked ok?

upbeat hinge

not in windrose. but updating seems to have fixed it

#

so if i had to hazard a guess i would say this bug report could be closed. seems to be out of date driver
