played the first time and everything fine after it sent me to the main menu to create a server and it got stuck on a loading screen, tried every method and now it wont even load the main menu

here's a guide on how you can recover saves on your dedicated server.
please note that in case you need to use anf FTP client to upload \ download files Filezeila and WinSCP are known to corrupt saves, please use Cyberduck - thi is one FTP client that is known to do well.
If you are using mods - they could also be the reason of save corruptions

both your server and client should have backup folders, try restoring it to previous back up point

Have the same issue. Backups are all after the infinite loading happened so I can't even use those. Just worked this morning and after that, infinite loading. So seem everything is gone and I have to start all over again?

if you played fine any time after April 19th, you shuld have a working backup before the corruption happened

I copied a save from April 19th, pasted it where it mentioned, I am still getting infinite loading screen into a blank menu

but you said you played normally after April 19th right? if you did the backup folder should have the save backups from later days

I just came to post this and saw yours. Im having the exact same issue. I was on this morning and now I cant get past the loading screen directly after the unreal engine screen. Ive tried the troubleshooting. Tried file verification. Tried Reinstalling. Tried backup characters but I cant even get to character selection screen. (According to steam discussion there are SEVERAL people right now having this issue) I used backup from a few hours before the one I initially tried and its working now ^^

Maybe try a backup from a time a little earlier??? I had this issue and just did a backup from a few hours before following this and am able to get in and I really didnt lose much!

I guess I'm just not smart enough to understand how to backup stuff lmao. I copped my R5 file to my desktop, but as soon as I try to relaunch it after taking that backup file and putting it into RocksDB, I get the infinite load thing again

So you dont want the entire R5 folder
i copied the "Saved" folder to my desktop so id have it then just went into the backup folder in it and you can see the times on them where it saved
then you go back in to the rocks folder and you will see something that looks like this
You copy whatever was in the backup folder over it
and replace the files
i used one that was from this morning when it was working so maybe try one from around the time u were last actually in game

So i've ran into this same issue. I managed to recover my hosted game but my character is missing. I copied the accounts, players, and worlds files over to the new "saved". I am now able to select my world but thats it.

Changing your Nitrado server to connect via direct IP seems to fix the forever loading screen issue

this is happening on my GFs PC currently btw
launched once so far tonight, now it wont launch. when it did launch it was extremely laggy too
shes joining my server, my game plays fine and loads fine no issues
its currently been on the loading screen without the dots moving for 5 mins, music still plays though

lost 40 hours of progress to this...... played 4/30/ and 5/1 no problem, super far and built world... tried today, level 1, no save, no backup (which an update said there was auto backuos??? didnt happen), and the only backup date was 4/19 when they said they sent the patch. Legit makes me not want to play... to have to redo everything, quests, progress, faction reps....
