Hi, I had an full inventory of stuff and a full stack of homemade gunpowder in quick slot 8. I was killed by drowned and when I returned to take the stash back, I have received everything besides the gunpowder (it was in quick slot 8 and vanished and no where to be found)

It might have been auto-equipped in your gunpowder slot on your character?
