Frigate Ship Materials Not Returned/Lost Upon Deconstruction

I just grinded to build my first Frigate, and as usual deconstructed it to take a look at the other variants... But this time around I've lost roughly half of the materials upon deconstructing. I can't find where/why they have disappeared.

Thanks for the report, we're investigating the issue. For now don't deconstruct ships if you don't have enough free space in your main inventory.

I take it the materials that didn't have enough space in the inventory were deleted. That's tragic 😩 I didn't even get the chance to sail it lol

Either that or they dropped out on the ground/in the water near your warf, you can try searching for them there.

Unfortunately nothing by the wharf, very expensive mistake/waste of time. Thanks for the quick reply/tip though.
