Yeah.... unable to play now due to this... happening to me and my friend
i'm having a similar issue. trying to join into dedicated server, loads for a bit, then crashes the game
I hope the devs are tracking this...

Is there any way to escalate this issue to the devs?
other than maybe tagging one of them in general and directing them to this, i don't think so

Thanks for the report. When did it start happening? Can you host a coop game? Does this happen if you connect with a fresh character?
What kind of dedicated server is it? Self hosted?
It started happening today, was playing for hours, game froze and had to force quit. Attempted to rejoin the dedicated server. The server is self hosted. I can check if I can host a coop game and try fresh character when I get home in 30 mins! It happened to my friend yesterday and he could not join all day.
I've seen numerous reports about this issue for self hosted dedicated and nitrado servers.
for me it's a nitrado server, going to try with a new character if it doesn't work after reinstalling the game

- I was able to host a co-op server no issues with my main character
- Create a new character and join my self hosted dedicated server
- I was able to join my self dedicated server from the same network the server is hosted on.
I was having trouble connecting and stuck on infinite load screen when trying to connect to the self dedicated server on another network. As well as other friends that were attempting to join from separate networks.
Thanks for the report! Can you please restart the client and attempt connection to the problematic server, so we have fresh related logs. And then please provide your save, client logs and server logs (from the dedicated server you're unable to connect)
Please share your game logs, game saves, crash dumps, and DxDiag. These are essential for diagnosing and fixing bugs.

To get there, open Steam, find Windrose in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage โ Browse local files. From there, archive the files in the Logs folder and share them with us.
Please name your logs in a way that describes the problem, for example: Crashedwhile_fighting_Dodo.log

Your saves are located here:

Please close the game before archiving your saves!
If you are playing on a dedicated server:
โข Stop both the client and the dedicated server.
โข Find and archive your server logs and world save.

Dedicated server saves are located here:
R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
To get there, open Steam, find Windrose Dedicated Server in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage โ Browse local files (or go to the folder where your Windrose Dedicated Server is stored).
Please close the dedicated server before archiving your saves.

Port opened? Which one you did? sounds like only publish port is opened, not the real gameport on the server
7777 and 7778 are open.

So when its only sometimes, is anyone on the server or is it empty when you join? sounds like an Sync issue between clients. As far as i known (iam not from dev team) the game/clients syncs when other players are near your location. Maybe it will happen when one of your friends is near your spawnpoint.
