Hey hey, mateys and Captain of the dinghy 🤷.
I'm stumped for a friend and completely lost when it comes to his problem.
I tried searching the depths of the Discord server, but my terrible English probably made me miss something.
My PC is on its last legs, it runs on ultra settings even though I could get better, it's very smooth and runs at around 50fps.
The kicker is that I can run it on Steam Deck on medium settings and get 30-40fps.
My friend, on the other hand, whom I pestered to join on PC and ditch the PS5, has a more than decent setup. He can run Crimson Desert almost maxed out with stunning visuals, but since the Windrose demo, he's been lagging, his frame rate drops, and he freezes. The game stutters regardless of the graphics settings (from low to ultra).
I've obviously tried all the basic troubleshooting steps, but nothing works; Windrose just won't run his system.
Between the two games (the only ones he has at the moment), only the multiplayer aspect makes a difference, but when I test his connection under load, the statistics are fine.
And multitasking doesn't seem to be causing the problem because he also tried running only the game.
Does anyone have any ideas that I've definitely missed?
