In co-op mode with 2 players we attacked, then boarded and defeated Blackbeard's Ketch, however neither of us received credit and it hasn't respawned even after logging out overnight. Did boarding the ship instead of just destroying it with the cannons bug it out?

Thank you for your report.

Any means to take out Blackbeard Ketch should cause the quest to finish.
Although not any ship is worth for that - only the specific Ketch that is spawned in the quest area would work.

Yes we killed the specific quest ship 100%

Actually she just sailed down on her ship and the Ketch is now spawned, but not tracking on the map, we're going to re-attempt the quest shortly and I'll post an update

I appear to have run into the same problem on solo mode, defeated Blackbeard's Ketch by boarding(again 100% the right one and only one there) and for the 'How My Sea Adventure Began' quest. Looted the rewards and watched her sink. Will retry in a moment without boarding.
