Hello,
I was looking at the Game Settings under Keyboard & Mouse, I noticed we don't have a Keybind Setting for Multiplayer In-Game Chat.
I play on a server with my friends a lot and I know we can all see when a user joins. But I don't see an option to communicate with my friends within game. We can only communicate in a Voice Chat via Discord.
Can we see if there's a way to integrate this into the game so I'm not bothering people to get into a Voice Chat?

Understandable, but you’d think with the idea of how the game is intended that there would have been a chat system already thought through before releasing the game

I agree as well--I'd like a basic text chat with /say proximity, /yell, /whisper and customizable channels for things like a pirate guild or something like that.

I wouldn’t even consider the whole command system like you mentioned.
Just to have a general game chat is enough for now
