errant sluice
I was mining starting from the top down to avoid building structures. My inventory was full so the ores just dropped onto the next layer of copper. When the rest of the copper was mined out the ores that had been previously sitting on the middle layers remained floating.
Looked pretty cool, however my screenshot didn't save(thanks signal🙃) and I picked everything up.
