I have a character I have been playing on a friends server but they aren't always on so I decided to try and play on my own and can't make a world to play in solo/offline mode at all. I've rebooted, reinstalled, verified files, my nividia driver is up to date.

BUG REPORTING GUIDE

Please share your game logs, game saves, crash dumps, and DxDiag. These are essential for diagnosing and fixing bugs.

HOW TO FIND LOGS

Game logs are located here:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\Logs

Server logs are located here:
R5\Builds\WindowsServer\R5\Saved\Logs

To get there, open Steam, find Windrose in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files. From there, archive the files in the Logs folder and share them with us.

Please name your logs in a way that describes the problem, for example: Crashedwhile_fighting_Dodo.log

HOW TO FIND SAVES

Your saves are located here:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
Please close the game before archiving your saves!

If you are playing on a dedicated server:
• Stop both the client and the dedicated server.
• Find and archive your server logs and world save.

Dedicated server logs are located here:
R5\Saved\Logs

Dedicated server saves are located here:
R5\Saved\SaveProfiles

To get there, open Steam, find Windrose Dedicated Server in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files (or go to the folder where your Windrose Dedicated Server is stored).

Please close the dedicated server before archiving your saves.

HOW TO FIND CRASH DUMPS

If crashes are involved, please share crash dumps:

Game client dumps (if play offline)

Please also include your DxDiag report. This is your PC specifications in .txt format:

• Press Win + R.
• Type dxdiag and press Enter.
• When the tool opens, click Save All Information.
• Save the .txt file and attach it to your report.

Sorry for not getting back earlier it took some time. Can you please help me out?

I see you have only one world on the video, but when I launch your save on my PC I can see multiple:

Can you please tell me if you ever created athese world and then deleted them?

And if you can, can you launch the game and see if you sill have only one world available for selection?

I did make all of them. I deleted them when I couldn’t use them. I did delete them by deleting the folders cause I couldn’t in game

I deleted them in the saved folder thinking that they might be the problem and making a new one might fix it

gotcha.... i'm afraid sir that your saves got corrupted. we have implemented the save backup system on the 19th, something migh have gone wrong for you before that 🙁

the character looks fine, but worlds look corrupted I checkd through backups and couldn't find one that was working propperly

How do I get a new one to work. I’m not upset about losing them. I’d just like to be able to play when my friends aren’t around

the backups shuld be working now, and for now we advise to deisable Steam CLoud Saves as the saves usually get corrupted somewhere around interactin with the could save sync

Can you please try renaming your SaveProfile folder into something like SaveProfiles_1, and try launching the game see if it changes this

I removed steam saves, restarted the computer, and it made me make a new character and still does not work

Can you please try to delete the entire R5 folder from AppData and see if it is working for you that way?

I have the same issue, with the one caveat, I cant join my singleplayer game with a character after joining a dedicated server. But my other charatcer, who hasnt been on the dedicated server, can join all my singleplayer worlds. Which makes me think its a character issue.

have you installed any mods by any chance?

And to double confirm that I understand your problem correctly:

You delete your save folder
Laucnhe the game
It launches and you get into character creation
After creating the character, you create your world
And then you can not click confirm to load it

That is correct. I have not used any mods. The only thing I’ve ever been able to connect to was a friends server that also does not have mods.

I have zero access to solo/offline on any character with and without steam saves after complete reinstalls and numerous folder modifications

I think my issue has to do with the dedicated server host by Survival Servers, my character can still log on to that server. The character was only level 7, I reset their stat points and they had like 37 points to spend. I think it got corrupted, the backup of the character was gone. So unless yall can revert it I dont think I can join a solo/offline world again.

My other character that has not been on that server can join solo and my friend's world just fine.

this is happening to me right now when i join my friends server he on gportal i cant join my own host game or go on solo/offline no more when i click on solo/offline i get stuff in a loading bug i have to foreclose my game and when i try to join my own host server on my pc its just take me back to the play button but if some one pay for a server with a company i can join them plz tell me you guys are fixing this plz

Join any server other than your own with altered values, and solo and non altered servers become inaccessible. FYI.

If your friends server has boosted level or stats, you need to repair your character back to vanilla first .. goto nexus mods "Windrose Save Repair Tool" then download + install and you can join solo's again.
