So after this last patch every private server I'm on with friends freezes after 5 mins. I've lost lives to being attacked then the game freezing then I'm back at base once it's over. This is very annoying seeing this was not happening until after the update. If this keeps happening I will uninstall & just wait till 1.0 cuz this is total BS.

Thanks for the report!
What kind of server are you playing on? Make sure it was fully updated and run Steam files verification, to check if installation is fine.

One is a nodcraft server & the other is a personal built server make by my friend who's in Cyber security

Does the issue still persist in both cases?

It seems like nodecraft uses linux machines for hosting, and we don't fully support linux for dedicated server hosting right now.

Both are Linux based it believe but before the update the personal server was running great. It all happened after the update
