If you try to reload the small pistol and keep the musket loaded, and then try to fire them one after the other, it will detect that they are all empty and force you to reload again, wasting ammunition and gunpowder.

Seconded... irritating if you want to open the fight at distance with rifle and then swap to pistol and 1h sword for up close and dirty. Waiting for an unused weapon to reload seems silly.
