Possible issues:

Something just went wrong within network set up
It is quite common that something could go wrong just because your machine or your router worked without rebooting for a long time. Turning it off and on again sometimes can do magic… we don't know why, but before trying other things, try doing the basics:
a. Reboot your PC
b. Shut down Steam and relog
c. Reboot your router
d. Check the game's file integrity- Block by your ISP
We are seeing that quite a few ISPs are blocking access to our backend service that help player to connect. We do not understand why this happens yet, but we are trying to reach out to them and try t address this. A few has already replied and unblocked us allowing players to play normally, however this process could take time.
a. If your ISP has any sort of app or a website where you can turn off additional security settings - try doing this, it could help
b. If you know a place where your ISP shows a list of blocked sites - try looking for something that has windrose.support in it - this is us! Please unblock!
c. Try connecting via different connection services (even if you are from NA, if you can not connect with your friends, try selecting Asia or CIS and see if it works for you)
d. We cannot recommend to install any third party software, but quite a few people reported that using apps like https://one.one.one.one/ or similar to this one could help to bypass this block untill it is lifted by ISPs - Block by your ISP

- You network settings priorities IPv6 over IPv4
The game is currently architected to use IPv4, so if your IPv6 priority is much higher there could be connection issues. Disabling IPv6, or increasing IPv4 priority could sole that issue.

4. You are playing from the same network
We currently have an issue with PC's connecting to each other from the same network ыщьуешьуы вщ тще сщттусе. We are working finding a solution to allow regular connection for this setup. To have a quicker bypass we have recently released an update that allows connection via IP. Connecting via direct IP should allow playing from the same network without any issues.
Please note: If you want other players to connect to you via direct IP, you need to set up your router accordingly.
Tried all these she can’t even host her own multiplayer server as has the same issue
P.s I am using a server of Nitrado too and the ip gateway don’t work for either of us
So update cloud wrap works on my pc but not hers but using mobile date on both pc without cloud wrap works
Both pc get unexpected error and can’t find the server without cloud wrap I can get into the game she can not as get stuck on loading screen then goes back to main menu after a long period of time
Please ask Nitrado support on how to enable direct IP connection so you us it instead of invite code it may help you
I have all the info of the direct ip connection and already enable just does the same thing goes into loading screen goes straight back to menu after so long
did you enable direct IP connection in the settings in your nitrado server account?
yes but had to turn it off as ddint work for either us and cos i was trying that i couldnt use the invite code to get in myself
am trying it again now on my 5th attemept game goes to load then goes straight back to main menu

if you have direct IP option enabled on your server, the invite code will not work (you need to stop the serer, change the settings, save settings and start the server again)
i know that why i went back to invite code option as the ip option didnt work for me or my partner where the invite code works for me but my partner get stuck on a loading screen and then gets sent back to the main menu where using the ip option when turned on we both load then both get back to the main menu

the only thing that works for her was using mobile hotspot
then she got into the server
can you please try to set up your nitrado server for direct IP connection, try to connect and after you get disconnected send me the log file

To get there, open Steam, find Windrose in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files. From there, archive the files in the Logs folder and share them with us.
Please name your logs in a way that describes the problem, for example: Crashedwhile_fighting_Dodo.log

Please close the game before archiving your saves!
If you are playing on a dedicated server:
• Stop both the client and the dedicated server.
• Find and archive your server logs and world save.

To get there, open Steam, find Windrose Dedicated Server in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files (or go to the folder where your Windrose Dedicated Server is stored).
Please close the dedicated server before archiving your saves.

can you please condirm taht you are entering IP adress this way:
i can see a port error in the logs. could it be a typo? or maybe you entered the port to IP adress as well (the number that goes after : )
I did not I had the 10200 at the end of ip as that what it was showing on my server info on the site as the ip
But I have now managed to get to get both of working using the code system
Our internet was blocking the servers after speaking with them is now sorted and both work fine thank you

Currently, it’s possible to play on different servers using the same character. Is it possible to disable this so that a character can only be used on a single server?

Hey i hope i can ask it here, i have similiar problem, trying to connect to friend but throws back into main menu, after trying over and over again it joins at some point, tho its really annoying repeating this for long, could it also be my ISP? or some other problem since it letting to join sometimes

We have the same problems, We don't have a server, we just try to be connected to each other.
My friend can't even do a host game. When she confirms everything and is supposed to put her in loading mode, it moves her to the menu. And when she connects to me, she can't find it.
