#cant load into my game

i just get this message every time i try to load my game with my friend.

Thanks for the report! Are you trying to connect to your friend? Or to a hosting provider? Or do you just starting a co-op game from the game client?

Does this happen only on one character?

this is just a co op game from the game client and it seems to just effect my main character, i made a new character and he can join that game..

but my main character is what i want... since hes higher lvl and has a bunch of stuff

Actually nvm I was able to do the tutorial for the new character even even that one can’t fully join that world/server

i can join that save if i choose solo/offline but it doesnt let me host it for me and my friend like we did on launch day and friday

So you can play your character in your world solo-offline, but if you're trying to host a coop server with the same character and the world, game crashes?

Have you tried restoring a previous state from one of the backups?

An automatic save backup is created on game launch (both for client and dedicated server).
• The maximum number of backup files is limited to 30.
• Only saves from the current version are backed up.
• Backups are stored in the folder:
SaveProfiles/{steamid}_Backups
• When the file limit is exceeded, older backups are deleted (the 31st backup replaces the oldest one).

HOW TO RESTORE BACKUP
Go to:
• C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles%your_Steam_ID%_Backups
• Select the latest backup (or any preferred one). Backups are named by date and time.
• Copy all contents from this folder (it should contain one folder + AccountDescription.json).
• Navigate to:
C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles{your_Steam_ID}\RocksDB
• Paste the copied files there (replace existing files if prompted).
