I did the boar whistle quest just to get the xp. later on I found that the quest is supposed to give you a boar whistle which I never got. apparently there was a bug? are you planning on giving the whistle to players who did the quest but never got it?

Thanks for the report. If you had full inventory, the whistle could drop near the the statue. It might be still there if there were no server restarts.
Otherwise we can't help for now, but we'll look what we can do.

If you really want the whistle, you can create a new character, join your current world, use the gear and fast travel points you already have in the world to quickly finish this event again and then just transfer the whistle to your main character.
