Im hosting a windows dedicated server and we played for 4 Days on it
At first everything was fine but now the items drop extremly slow one by one when we farm some Trees or Ores
Some Times it takes minutes until everything spawned (wood from Trees f.e.)
I restarted the server many times.
Maybe the server cant handle all the items/buildings anymore
Its an 8core, 16GB ram Server with 10Gbit/s

Thanks for the report. Does the issue persist after restarting the server? Is it hosted on your separate machine or on a rented host?
The issue is a littlebit better after a restart. When im alone at the server it is also a littlebit better.
With 4 people on it, everything drops slow. even the flesh/hide from animals etc...
Its my own windows VPS from Hetzner.
When im alone on the Server i can see the Server has 30fps (what is the maximum i think)
With 4 people online it sometimes get down to 15 Server-FPS
The CPU load is at 20-30%
Boarding (naval?)-Fights are also very laggy
We can look into your logs, but from your description It seems that we won't find anything special. Its just your server hardware might be not exactly ideal for 4 player coop, when the game states 16 GB as a minimal system requirement.
You can share your client and server logs here, and we'll take a look when we can

I wonder if items wich dropped on other islands, and were not picked up, will slowdown the server after some time. Valheim had the same problem when it came out. because all items are persistent, right?
Not all items are
- Things that dropped from the source are persistent (like the ore that dropped on the floor when you mined the node).
- Things that players drop inside of the base radius are persistent
- Things that players drop outside of the base (like throwing away annoying plant fiber in the middle of a jungle) are not persistent and will be cleared on server restart.
Ah, ok. Is there some kind of option to delete all dropped world-items?
Dedicated Server log uploaded
Not right now, but we'll see what we can do in the future
But when the Server has 30FPS then everything should drop as normal, right?
Well, not always, but generally - yes. Are you getting consistent 30 fps on your server and it still happens?
Yes f.e. when im alone online on the server and the server has 30FPS even then, the items drop slow one-by-one
F.e. when i farmed a tree down, then i got no wood and afer 5 sek. the first wood drops and after 10sek the next wood drops.
We'll look into your logs then, when possible.
ty very much
I switched my VPS Server just for testing. Now the text in the middle is green and says "Fine".
Before it said "R5Check"???
What does it mean?
Its an indicator for logging, telling about the amount of internal warnings that happened during playing. In short - its our logging tool, its not really useful for a player in general.
ok ty
A lot of things can cause it to switch from "Fine" to "R5check" and a lot of them are practically harmless
