Anyone else aggravated by the AI ships attacking your ship just sitting in port or am I the only one? Numerous times now my ship has sank after fast traveling because I guess the AI doesn't care if you are on the ship or not and they decide to attack it while I am shopping and selling on land, come back to sail away and my ship is gone, hit K to recall and says its sunk and needs repairs.

Yes and I have the perfect solution large Wall mounted canons that can fire on ships getting too close to your base automatically

also not liking that friendly and hostile ships dont seem to actually damage each other when fighting

so when your in the waters of a specific faction your not getting any real support from their own ships

Thanks for the report, we're looking into it. Right now AI ships keep shooting at you for some time after you've left the ship, but should stop after a bit.

For fun make them stop shooting the ship but keep firing canonballs at you as you run around on shore pirate

AI ships also have been doing a ton of ramming lately, just full on charging and ramming

that is a valid navel tactic TBH

warships frequently had heavily reinvorced keels and armored rams on the front just for this

On a side note AI targeting the small boat despite pirates would not consider something that small and unarmed a threat worth wasting powder on and being mostly unable to even target it

AI pursues player ship for too long and is often times able to outpace them at higher levels

AI spawns are too frequent to the point it can be nearly impossible to avoid and seem to actively draw you towards additional spawns the player ship is not really designed to handle entire fleets and this should not be common

essentially this is a progression blocker that prevents smooth transitioning to the highlands area due to excessivly high encounters between the player and where they need to be to attain the upgrades to survive said higher level encounters

a fully upgraded ketch from the islands can typically handle smaller groups of 6-8 level enemies with some difficulty however the 9-10 spawn rates are problematic
