Can't provide support for non vetted server providers. The only one we work with directly is Survival Servers

we have direct admin RCON commands set up on our servers, without needing UE4SS or any mods installed. Can kick, ban etc direct from our panel consoles

Admin doesn’t work properly cus the game developers don’t have it in, Windrose+ is an external mod developed by someone else completely that they are trying to hijack into their program and failing because it’s a mod requiring UE4SS 😂

They have added it in their modding section in our server, but it failed!
I'll guess it takes time until Windrose will actually introduce their own tools

it can be done without mods. This is what I was saying. No need for any mods or UE4SS. It has taken them more time and effort to try and get mods to autoload and run and fail than if they wrote a simple bit of scripting

you type the command straight into the console on our panel and it works, simple as that. No third party site or app or whatever. Just log in to your game panel and send the command.

If a tiny host like us can manage it I'm sure one as big as Gportal can, they just don't, thats the difference

I do believe it was GPortal related since the mod has been integrated on the gportal dashboard in settings. But subtly advertising your own doesn’t make me want to use yours, I don’t like the idea of poaching.

Believe me poaching is not needed, I have spent more time helping people from other hosts so they can stay with current hosts than I have convincing them to leave. By all means stay with whichever host you are with. My personal advise is if you can self host and have the means, ditch the lot of us and do it yourself.

I also believe though that if people are paying you for a service, that service should work properly, should be fit for purpose and if it isn't then the support needs to be on it like a hot rash or if it renders something unuseable, the charge for that service should be refunded to the customer who cannot avail from it.

Then fantastic, you're happy with your host, stay with your host 😂 I'm not saying otherwise. People go with the names they know, just the way of the world. We have made a beautiful company from our ethics and customer support and will continue to do so. The big guys messing up helps us a lot anyways, when people leave they need somewhere to go 😉

Honestly, this doesn’t give a very professional impression.

If you’re representing a hosting company, joining another provider’s support/community space and commenting like this can easily come across as opportunistic or like soft-poaching, even if that wasn’t your intention.

It’s totally fair to discuss hosting quality and customer support, but the tone here feels a bit dismissive and sales-driven. This actually makes me less interested in using your service, not more. And also makes me wanting to warn people to stay away from you. Using this as an prime example of how they will recive support at your company. Based on your tone alone.

@nocturne moss @zinc nebula I have spent more time helping customers of other hosts get their servers working than I have even attempting to “poach” given that Gportal don’t actually provide any support or help here themselves.
I haven’t needed to poach, the absolute difference in level of service between Skye Serve and the likes of Gportal and other big hosts has been enough.

The message you guys have replied to is in no way “sales driven” and I wasn’t dismissing either I was stating facts, if someone is happy with their host that’s fantastic, stay with your host. My personal recommendation to anyone is if you can, self host, will always be way better than any service out there.

My tone is 90% frustration at the whole reason Skye Serve was made, big hosts who sell a “premium service” then fail to even deliver a basic level of working service, while leaving you waiting days for a response. Or maybe they sponsor a game and are completely unprepared to actually run said game.

In relation to the support at Skye Serve, we actually provide it 😊 without the 3-5 business day wait.
If me talking in another providers support, a provider that isn’t providing support I might add, is enough to put you off even looking into what we offer in comparison then so be it.
As I said im not here for a “sales drive”,

Think I covered all point there. And as one of the only hosts in this server offering any form of support to people using hosting companies, this is the only time I’ve been accused of poaching. And you know what, I hope this person does leave Gportal and find a host that actually gives them the service they are paying for on a server that actually works properly. Whether that’s with us or not, there are a number of actual decent hosts out there who care a little more about the customer than the profit margin

Who us? Well where we can’t put one in game (that’s up to the devs unfortunately) we do have rcon control for all our customers including now a wonderful little bot they can use from their own discords etc (the console gets very busy for Windrose, makes it easy to miss your command response)

So yes all our players can kick/ban/unban/ check player positions etc no issue at all 😊

Also currently working on auto restarts for our customers when a patch drops, we have it already for one of our other games, simple toggle as to if you want it on or not but saves our community host customers having people complaining when they want to sleep and the server needs a restart for updates 😊

Oh and sorry just to add for the admin commands, you don’t need UE4SS or any mod installed. We built a custom bridge for our customers to use for those that don’t want to run mods at all, also allowed us to roll it out across all our games so other recently released also have admin commands where other providers don’t yet

It will only work where an RCON port is assigned, and you can set/access your RCON password.
I’ve not made it publically accessible yet but theoretically yeah should work with any.
Just uses your IP, RCON port and RCON password to connect
