#Transferring world save from Nitrado to Gportal

Unfortunately I don't think Gportal have a rep in here. I own a different hosting company but The reason your transfer from Nitrado to Gportal is likely failing is because of the WorldIslandId link. When you upload your save folder to R5/Saved/SaveProfiles/Default/RocksDB/0.10.0/Worlds/, you have to make sure you open your ServerDescription.json file and change the WorldIslandId value to perfectly match the exact name of the folder you just uploaded. Sometimes Gportal's web UI overrides this file on boot and generates a new world anyway.
Yeah! Did you use FileZilla?
I did in order to transfer the files, but then transitioned to only downloading the files so i can upload them manually, on Gportal site.
Yeah Filezilla seems to corrupt/break files.
I used WinSCP and it worked without a problem
WORKED! Thank you!!!!!
No worries!
I certainly didn't stay up till 4am to figure this out.
Once again, thank you for your service 🫡
I did exactly this part but it always keep shutting down my server after 5 seconds of running.. anyone got a solution?
Did you download the server files via WinSCP and upload them with WinSCP?
I dont have a server description file in my nitrado worlds folder? Weird
There's some weird issue, it seems like when I downloaded via WinSCP FTP, it skimped on the .json and any other file that wasnt .sst or whatever
Found the fix to it, I think the issue people were maybe having before was that when you tried to upload files you would download from Nitrado to GPortal, then uploading to GPortal wouldn't upload all of the files within the world. For whatever reason GPortal likes to only download the first 100 files you upload to it, the fix is to simply just select all the files and drag and drop them through upload
