While building I noticed the more lights I put out the lower the fps. I changed a few settings and nothing really upped the fps back up. I did turn on the dlss and it helped but the more lights reduces the fps in my main building.
I run a computer with a 12700k CPU with 64gb ram and a 3060ti GPU with 8gb vram. M.2 Samsung SSD.

I even installed the new GPU driver today. I run most things on high and have a gaming monitor with 1440p 144hz and 1ms.

I'll tinker more a bit later when I get back to computer. Any ideas or similar issues with lights and fps drop?

It happens when I port to faction areas too.

Thanks for the report! It is a known issue with light sources, we'll look into optimizing them in the future.

I was thinking about posting about this here, but since its here, I want to put another word in for this. I use a lot of wall torches to light up my house because I don't like having half the place shrouded in darkness, but it has the downside of dropping my fps to probably the 30-60 range when I'm usually ultra-butter-smooth. More than tolerable but makes me hesitant to do as much as I want to, which is unfortunate.

Yea I am going to "second" this also.
Just moved from my starter base into a building i put together, has lots of torches and the performance goes to hell as soon as I travel to it.

Going to try remove a load of torches in the mean time but without them the building is incredibly dark 😉
