we found it out the first time on accident lol... we have someone land on it and we still had the small boats... that was a long sail back lol

You can fast travel to your fast travel bells directly from your boat/ship

Yeah, if you have a Fast Travel Bell built somewhere, you can get on your small boat, open the map and click on your bell icon to teleport.
