#Items disappear when inventory is full

Whenever items are being acquired through an interface interaction like a chest or dismantling your ship, if the inventory is full, items disappear.
Examples:

  1. I was looting ruins with nearly full inventory. Opened a chest, clicked "take all". Now the chest is empty and some items from it are nowhere to be found.
  2. I decided to rebuild my starting ship. I took everything from its cargo leaving a few inventory slots empty, dismantled the ship at wharf. I happened to have just one less inventory slot than needed and now the ropes from ship are nowhere to be found.

When you recieve items that overcap you inventory they use the same behaviour as if you've thrown them out from inventory

#

So look for few meters in front for lost items

#

Like if you've ejected them from your inv

If you're close enough to a wall they can occassionally clip though as well. Had this happen at a ruin- we thought the item disappeared, but it had somehow ended up on the other side of a ruin wall. (exterior. Not sure if this can happen inside of instanced interiors)

I tried, honestly. It's like they never existed. With wharf the problem may be that it's right near the water and the rope just got thrown in the water, which is also not the best scenario. But with that chest... I realised only later that I don't have some items I was looting, I retraced my whole route looking for them everywhere and didn't find them.

Honestly I would just block the player out of trying to take more than he can.
Not enough space in inventory - things stay in the chest, wharf says that the ship cannot be dismantled.
That way things wont get lost for sure.

Well I think what couldve happened is they got dropped and then you got FAR from it

#

So they despawned because of distance
