#Can't connect to friends server
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
If you are in the same LAN try using direct IP options
Otherwise it seems like connectivity issue
Please check options from our FAQ - https://playwindrose.com/faq/
If you've tried Firewall/Antivirus disable/IPv6/DNS/port forwarding and nothing helps - try using cloudflare warp https://one.one.one.one/, a lot of players reported it helped them, so you may try that out.
Some ISP like Bezeq International Ltd, Ziggo, telnet, Xfinity, Spectrum, and others are blocking our servers, so disabling advanced security feaures provided by them might be good idea as well
We're having the same problem. I have a server through GPortal and something with the update from this morning is causing us to not be able to connect. I've stopped and started and restarted numerous times to try to push for a new update but it's not allowing us to connect. We've also tried connecting through IP and invite code with no success.
I suggets reaching out to Gportal support for that
i did the firewall disable, swithced to IPv4, changes my DNS and flushed it and still didnt work.
I download cloudflare warp so we will see if that works.
it did not work. game just crashed again.
direct ip didnt work either
Yeah Im also getting game crashes everytime I try to join my buddies dedicated server.
Is there a fix for this or am I just SOL until another update fixes it?
same problem here
yh me to cant connect
brand new game so not really mad. game just looks like a lot of un so little bummed.
hopefully next update can figure it out.
@vocal iron tried all the fixes in the FAQ and also tried warp. any other fixes possible?
If you are establishing connection through in game Host a game options - try using idfferent connection services
have tried all the above fixes and none seem to work for getting my friend to be able to connect to my hosted co-op game
he just gets stuck loading then disconnects
did he try installing this app?: https://one.one.one.one/?
Install the free app that makes your phone’s Internet more fast, private, and reliable.
So I was originally mistaken, he was able to get into the server but would then get disconnected. seems to be fixed right now
will see if anything changes
yeah he got disconnected again. I am not sure if its relevant but I have noticed since the update, as host, when he tries to join and sometimes just running around my game will have lag spikes and stuttering. It did not do that prior to this update at all
can you send me your logs please?
