Unable to join server with invite code

I have done all the troubleshooting per the website, used VPN's with no success, tried adding port forwarding rules in my router and inbound windows firewall settings. I still get the Error server not found message. I have no clue what else I could try but if it helps my buddy is hosting on Nitrado
