My brother is trying to join me. with direct IP it loads and throws him back into the main menu with no message. This also happens when he tries to host his own game.
He tries to join with the invite code and he gets "unexpected error occured" immediately. We have switched DNS servers and reinstalled games, not working

If you are not on the same network you need to configure your router to allow connections. We currently do not have a guide to do this :(, but it's pretty muc hthe same for all games that allow this type of connection, so you can try to google those.
On the invite code inthg - this looks like a connectivity issue due to the fact that some ISP are adding our backend services to their black lists.
