Putting containers near your bed - like a chest at the bottom - or by the side, you have to literally walk right up to that chest to access it or you just keep clicking your bed as a re-spawn point.

I'm also having this issue, you can't put a chest on the foot of the bed since hits activation is longer than the model. You'll always interact with the bed before the chest
