Delete mods

Sorry I don't quite get what you mean? So far 100% of empty journal issues were caused by mods either on client or on server side (like windrose+ and similar)

Remove your mods and see if the save is OK or if it's something else.

Mods can break stuff erraticaly, so it works for some and it doesn't for others
