#Game wont load anymore

Good day sir.
Just a quick question. Have you played on several PC;s before and sued Steam Cloud to sync your progress?
no just one pc steam cloud is on, i just turned it off deleted my savegame then the game starts but if i add my original save again the game gets stuck and wont load to the main menu
the issues seems to be player savegame
if i delete my player save it loads again
okay. we do have isseus with save games getting ocrrupted, but we are still investigating the root cause.
in today's updae we introduced save backup functionality, and will see if we can do something about your save.
but first please tell me, do you have steam cloud saves enabled?

yes but the corrupted save seems to be uploaded to steam cloud already

Hey! Thanks for the report, it seems to be a problem with Steam cloud corrupting saves.
It can be fixed by disabling steam cloud and removing you "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X1\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles" folder, but it will make you lose progress.
To try to save progress, we have only two solutions that aren't guaranteed, but helped in some cases.
Solution 1
- Close the game, turn off steam cloud saves in game setting on the games page in your steam library.
- Go to
C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Local\R5\Saved
Make a backup of this folder just in case, then delete it. - Launch the game - it should ask you to create the new character. Do it.
- Close the game and enable steam cloud saves back.
- When Steam finds a conflict in save files, choose the Steam Cloud version.
Soltion 2
- Disable steam cloud saves
- Go to %Localappdata%\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles(profile-id-numbers)\RocksDB\0.10.0\Accounts(account-id-numbers)\CURRENT
- Open with any text editor (notepad), it will contain text like MANIFEST-000005
- In same folder look for file called MANIFEST-XXXXXX
- If file name is not the same as from CURRENT step 3 - rename it to match step 3.
People report this solutions working for them, but we can't be sure they'll help you.
this is news from yesterday today's update brings a new solution.

Look a bit lower—there’s a thread where we’re speaking in Russian with another user who has the same issue (most likely because of a character that stopped working after the update, but when they create a new character, it works). (Sorry for the spam, it’s just really frustrating to lose the character)
I've llokst at the save and I am very sorry to tell you that it looks like it got corrupted and there is no way on how we could restore it 🙁
We are very sorry about this sir. WE are investigating the root cause and just this morning shipped the backup functionality to tackly this issues, but we were too late. incredibly sorry sir.

You should tell this verdict to other ppls whos saves got gorrupted before your backup patch so they dont sit on old lost saves and instead use their free time to play on new save they will have protected by your backup solution
is it possible to use player saves from other ppl ? if so ive been playing with a friend the whole time maybe he can give me his player save
I got 60 hours lost but now you at least know it wont happen again and our loss make the solution come into the light

it is impossible to play on a currupted save, so if the save didn't brake untill the patch, and the person was able to load into the game he should have a solid back up every time he launches. very sorry to hear that you had isseus wit hthe game 🙁 exptereamly sorry!
This game studio is just the best example of how to treat the game and its community. Some bugs like this wont ever stop me to play this gem.
