#Enemy staying on 1HP instead of getting killed

I've been noticing this weird bug where enemies that are sitting at low hp, enough to be a one shot, not dying to that hit.
for example: Dodo has about 10 hp left, i hit it for 300 damage, it doesnt die but instead gets knocked down to 1 and it requires me to get an extra hit.

It causes a lot of unnecessary deaths since you take a little more risk cause you know "its a one shot".

Someone instantly accused me of cheating which i am not (i dont even know how to to be frank...) but it gave me an idea, that it might have something to do with my VPN.

Is there a known bug where the anti-cheat sees Nord VPN (what i'm using) as a cheat software?

Happened to me aswell with a few enemies, completely empty HP bar but he's still alive

It's probably some sort of a check that doesn't get triggered on the enemy

Basically something like

If health is below 0, trigger death sequence

This part probably get skipped for some reason, so you get enemies with 0 health still walking

Can confirm this has happened to me a few times as well, especially boars 😂
