Multiplayer Connection Issue – Stuck on Loading Screen (Black Screen)

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue while playing Windrose via Steam.

I am able to launch and play the game in solo without any problems. However, when I try to join a friend's game or connect to a dedicated server (which we specifically rented for multiplayer), I encounter a major issue.

The game gets stuck on the loading screen (with the tips displayed) for about 15 to 20 minutes. After that, it ends up on a black screen and never connects.

I have already tried several troubleshooting steps, including:

Disabling Steam Cloud
Checking IPv4 prioritization
Changing DNS settings (currently using 8.8.8.8)
Disabling firewall
Other common fixes

Unfortunately, none of these solutions resolved the problem.

Following this because I am having the same issue I can play solo fine but no MP aspect at all can’t host, can’t join a friend, can’t join my dedicated server, no MP options working.

Same. No problem playing yesterday with about 3 friends on a dedicated server my friend is running. After update today I cannot log in at all. Stuck on LOADING page. Tried joining using the invite code again as well no dice.

I am still experiencing the same issue even after the latest update. Unfortunately, the problem has not been resolved.

I am still unable to join a multiplayer session or a dedicated server. The game remains stuck on the loading screen for a long time and eventually leads to a black screen.

I would also like to mention that my internet service provider is Orange (France). Could there be any known issue or restriction related to this ISP that might affect connectivity to your servers?

If you've tried Firewall/Antivirus disable/IPv6/DNS/port forwarding and nothing helps - try using cloudflare warp https://one.one.one.one/, a lot of players reported it helped them, so you may try that out.

Some ISP like Bezeq International Ltd, Ziggo, telnet, Xfinity, Spectrum, are blocking our servers, so disabling advanced security feaures provided by them might be good idea as well

Or if nothing helps - try switchin to a direct connection in the menu instead of our connection servers. It might require extra setup, depending on your home network configuration.
