#Infinite Loading and stuck before main menu

I already played for 20h and was going for another session today, and for some reason my game wont get past the initial loading screen. It loads for 20-30min and then i get to the "main menu" but theres only the exit option.

I did restart my pc, verified the game files, reinstalled the game, and it doesnt fixed it...

I got the following from CohhCarnage's live stream today as he had the same problem.

Need to update drivers, then turn off cloud save for the game in STEAM. Once you have done that go into C:\Usersyouruserproifle\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\ (this maybe hidden on your system, you will need to un-hide the folder) then backup the "save profiles" and "save games" to a folder if you wish to do so, then delete those folders. Go back to STEAM and turn back on Cloud saves, fix the save conflict by choosing to download the Cloud save and that should fix it.

thanks for the report! Aside from your first attempted solution, people report that sometimes they are able to restore the save this way:
Soltion 2

  1. Disable steam cloud saves
  2. Go to %Localappdata%\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles(profile-id-numbers)\RocksDB\0.10.0\Accounts(account-id-numbers)\CURRENT
  3. Open with any text editor (notepad), it will contain text like MANIFEST-000005
  4. In same folder look for file called MANIFEST-XXXXXX
  5. If file name is not the same as from CURRENT step 3 - rename it to match step 3.

But its probably already too late righ now, sorry for the inconvenience.
