#Nitrado only?

Genuinely curious about server hosts looking for server crash help. I was told by a dev that editing a config is "too modded" and not supported?

#

Nitrado servers are the only servers Windrose dev interact with

#

I have a question for @warm snow . Do you folks allow config changes on your servers?

warm snow
#

In terms of adjusting settings we can't recommend that at the moment since it may be a risk as there are updates coming that may collide with the adjustments.

As for modding it is not supported at the moment.

Config wise we already have settings available at our interface.

Were there any specific settings you wanted to adjust?

sleek nimbus
#

I wasn't modding. I was using a config as existed. I will buy a server from Nitrado I guess to keep pushing this nonsense

#

Is this allowed or not?

#

Windrose devs say editing a config is "heavy modding"

#

And not supported

warm snow
#

There are available options to adjust, which ones did you have in mind?

sleek nimbus
#

XP, loot, and stack

#

So, again, is this allowed or not

#

Careful

#

I'll send my save to a dedicated host you folks control

#

and submit the same tickets

warm snow
#

At the moment these are the only options available.
As for the mentioned config which did you have in mind?
The only available ones are serverdescription and worlddescription

sleek nimbus
#

Weird. So your own website says other?

#

I don't see loot rates on that config

#

So is your website incorrect?

warm snow
#

It's a very broad term used in customizing world settings, for some games it is true for some it isn't

sleek nimbus
#

It's not a broad term

warm snow
#

In this example it's these available settings here

sleek nimbus
#

It is a VERY spefific term with a config

#

specific*

warm snow
#

I understand but these are the ones mentioned not all configs

sleek nimbus
#

So do you stand behind your website or not

#

I'm not trying to be a jerk but devs seem to not know what's going on

#

Your own website calls out config I'm using

#

Stand by it or not

warm snow
#

I understand but I have no power over what is mentioned or not
I am just showing you what configs are available and what options are available

sleek nimbus
#

Also, did you get the memo about the steam cloud save bug

#

Also, also you're showing me nothing. Your portal is fine but your website describes an entirely different experience

#

So are config modifcations allowed on Nitrado or not

#

(that include XP and loot)

warm snow
#

I just sent you all the configs that are available and settings thats pretty much it

#

No for xp and loot we do not have them

sleek nimbus
#

I sent you your own website

#

So which is it

#

I'll send it again

warm snow
#

I know but we don't have them, maybe in the future but for now no
I've given you all available settings

sleek nimbus
#

You've given me nothing except excuses. All good but Windrose devs are your "partner" and ya'll are lying

#

So are we allowed to edit configs or not?

#

Or are we only allowed to use your limited control panel that is not reflected on your website?

warm snow
#

I have already answered it, just because the site is mentioning a template question and answer does not reflect the current status of the configs and settings available

#

I have sent you a screenshot and the available configs at the moment

sleek nimbus
#

You haven't answered it

#

Your website and config are not aligned

#

So admit one of the two is wrong

warm snow
#

This conversation wont lead anywhere while using the screenshots at hand

sleek nimbus
#

Agreed. Show me loot rates in the screenshot

warm snow
sleek nimbus
#

Your site said it was available

#

Not me. That's what is infuriatating and confusing

warm snow
#

I understand but that is the state at the moment, perhaps in the future they will be available.

sleek nimbus
#

Then put that (also it's in the config so that's nonsense)

#

I will ensure that this doesn't go well. I just want you or the devs or someone to admit they were wrong

#

What a waste of time where you can

#

Can't* even read your own site

#

That support the changes
