Game won’t launch

Hi so yesterday I have had been playing just fine on steam with proton experimental and steam cloud disabled.

Today morning I wanted to launch the game but it won’t launch and gets stuck on the unreal engine

And exits the game

I have attached a video

I also wanted to let you guys know

It launched when I started it first time and I hosted a game it crashed on loading

And I quit and launched again

Now it won’t even launch

I verified the integrity and launched again it worked

I switched to dlss

And it died again.

i am not sure if its a game issue or compatability issue

I got the following from CohhCarnage's live stream today as he had the same problem.

Need to update drivers, then turn off cloud save for the game in STEAM. Once you have done that go into C:\Users*youruserproifle*\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\ (this maybe hidden on your system, you will need to un-hide the folder) then backup the "save profiles" and "save games" to a folder if you wish to do so, then delete those folders. Go back to STEAM and turn back on Cloud saves, fix the save conflict by choosing to download the Cloud save and that should fix it.

I have turned off cloud save

It’s now happening again

I change one setting in the settings menu

And it crashes

And doesn’t come back

It’s very random

Only when I switch settings around is it crashing

I am having the problem again 😔😔

And as soon as I said that

It launched

Ok so far from what I am noticing

Is that this is a bug in the game

At first I thought it was my laptop sucking

To run the game

But after several tries of launching the game

The game does boot up and load

So I am not really sure what is happening

I have reported this in-game as well

Mine does this as well, you managed to find a work around, I’ve requested a refund, it should not be this confusing and frustrating to play a a game

This worked for me, type within steam launcher and readjust your settings when you get in game, stay off full screen keep it on windowed, it’s bugged atm
